The Madang Resort offers a variety of marquees to cater for groups ranging from 20 - 400 complete with tables, chairs, portable kitchen and buffet equipment.

The picture shown is a Marquee 25m x 8m which can be extended to 40m x 8m set on Forum Park adjacent to the Madang Resort and Yamilon Lagoon.

The Blue Marquee is shown set up at Banara Village on the North Coast of Madang to provide catering for Polython Film Productions in the shooting of the TV series "Love Boat".

This Marquee can adequately cater for up to 40 persons.

The Sana Room at the Madang Resort is an ideal venue for formal banquets and dinners.

This setting was done for British and American Tobacco for 350.

The full capacity of all three Sana Rooms is 400 but can be divided into three sections of 150.

The Sana Room is fully air conditioned, restrooms are available in each section and it has its own cocktail bar, kitchen, secretarial office, ligthing, PA, stage, piano and audio/optical equipment.

CATERING FOR OUTSIDE FUNCTION

The Madang Resort is fully equipped to cater for up to 500 persons.  This picture shows a dinner for a visiting group of tourists in a village location.

The Kalibobo Spirit is available for charter anywhere in Papua New Guinea.  Whilst it can accommodate up to 20 passengers in 10 twin/double cabins with ensuite, it has a large aft deck for outside catering.

The picture shows a BBQ lunch being served to 50 people on a diving excursion.

DINNER FUNCTION

The Kalibobo Spirit can cater for up to 50 persons seated on aft-deck or up to 100 with finger food. 

Formal dining can seat up to 23 in either a large centre table as shown, or on 5 smaller tables in the dining room.

In addition there are two smaller tables in the lounge that can provide a further 8 seats.

The vessel has a large commercial galley equipped to cater for more than 100 persons.

POOLSIDE

In addition to the areas mentioned, the Madang Resort can cater for functions pool side, at Forum Park at the Kalibobo Village Lagoon or anywhere else in the gardens of the resort

The Rakuen Restaurant is located in the main building of the Madang Resort and provides authentic Japanese Cuisine cooked by trained PNG chefs.

The Rakuen Restaurant caters for up to 16 and table bookings are essential.

The Haus Win Restaurant is the most famous restaurant in PNG.  It is built from traditional material with intricately carved posts.

The capacity of the restaurant is 200 but with outside tables the number can easily be increased to 400 persons.

The Janek Aben Restaurant is located in the main building, it is fully air conditioned and can seat up to 100.

Both a-la-carte, table d'hote and buffets is available.

The Janek Aben is normally open for Breakast and Lunch but is available for special occasions.
